Founders and media buyers writing long-form VSLs
Alex Fedotoff says this is the process that produces his scripts 'converting at $100k/day' (his claim). He says the quality difference between one-shot and section-by-section is dramatic, and no section moves forward without human review.
Fedotoff: 'If you ask Claude to write me a full VSL script you'll get something that reads like a college essay with a CTA at the end.' His order: 10 hooks scored on specificity, awareness match and thumb-stop power; problem in the avatar's exact words; failed solutions; named mechanism; proof (data, then testimonials, then before/after); offer stack; one CTA.
Project files: Research Brief, Avatar Sheet, Offer Brief, Necessary Beliefs Doc. Read all four. STEP 1 (now): Write 10 hook variations for a VSL. Score each 1-10 on specificity, awareness match and thumb-stop power, with one line of reasoning before each score. Do not write anything else. --- After I approve a hook --- STEP 2: Write only the Problem section. Use the avatar's exact phrases from the Avatar Sheet. (Repeat one section per prompt, pasting the approved sections each time:) STEP 3: Failed Solutions - validate what they've tried and why it didn't work. STEP 4: Mechanism - name it and explain specifically why it's different. STEP 5: Proof - data first, then testimonials, then before/after. Only proof from the Offer Brief. STEP 6: Offer Stack - product, bonuses, value, price reveal, guarantee. STEP 7: CTA - one action, no options.
