Ben Tossell (Ben's Bites) says pulling out quotes and organizing a transcript could take him six hours by hand versus about six minutes with a model. He says he only launched Ben's Bites Pro, one long post a week, because this process lets him get it out at a quality people sign up for.
Tossell asked Gemini to find his transcript doc and 'highlight key topics that I should write about in a blog post... Include quotes in each section.' It returned sections like 'The importance of leadership buy-in for AI adoption' with supporting quotes. He keeps drafts from Claude, GPT-4 and Gemini as version 1 in Lex, writes his own version 2, then runs Lex's AI checks.
Below is a transcript of my interview with [guest, role, company]. I write posts about [your beat] for [audience]. 1. Highlight the 4-6 key topics I should write about in a post. 2. Under each topic, include 2-3 exact quotes from the transcript with the speaker's name. Quote exactly. Do not paraphrase inside quote marks. 3. Suggest an order for the sections and a one-line reason for that order. 4. Do not write the post. TRANSCRIPT: [paste] (Later, on your finished draft:) Summarize 3-5 key takeaways from this post for a 'Key takeaways' box.
