Founders who already write a weekly post or newsletter and want threads without extra writing
No metric reported. Nicolas Cole's Ship 30 republishing framework: write the article (an Atomic Essay) first, then turn it into a Twitter thread in two cases: when it is a list-style format (listicles, bullets, actionable tips, walkthroughs) or when it references outside research. He notes most readers skim threads before deciding to read them, which is why opinion-style prose converts poorly.
Cole's example of a good fit: '7 lessons I learned building my first startup' works as a thread because each tweet can be one of the seven lessons.
Turn my essay below into an X thread. First, check fit. If the essay is not a list, a step-by-step walkthrough, or built on outside research, tell me it will work better as a single long post and stop. If it fits: - Tweet 1 is the hook: who it's for and what they get. Under 280 characters. - One idea per tweet. Each tweet must make sense to someone skimming. - Keep my wording wherever possible. Cut, don't rewrite. - Number the list items. Credit any research by name. - Last tweet: one-line takeaway + 'Full version: [link]'. - No emojis, no hashtags, nothing that is not in the essay. ESSAY: [paste]
