Who it's for

Founders who turn a weekly newsletter into a YouTube video

What they report

No metric reported. Dan Koe says he built a prompt from his best ~15 YouTube titles. He pastes in each newsletter and it returns 20 to 30 titles that follow the same patterns. He crosses out weak ones, tests one, and changes the title if the video isn't working after two weeks.

Example

Koe's newsletter doubles as his video outline. He reads from it on camera, and his editor covers the moments he looks down with B-roll or text.

How to do it

  1. Pull your 15 best-performing video titles (by views or click-through).
  2. Save them in a reusable title prompt.
  3. Paste each new newsletter or script into it.
  4. Cross out weak titles, highlight strong ones, write your own if one sparks.
  5. Re-title after two weeks if the video underperforms.

Here are my 15 best-performing YouTube titles: [paste titles] 1. In 5 bullets, describe the patterns they share (length, structure, curiosity, promise, words). 2. Read the newsletter below. Pull out its 5 strongest ideas. 3. Write 25 YouTube titles from those ideas that follow the same patterns as my best titles. Under 60 characters each. No clickbait the video can't deliver. 4. Mark your top 5 and say which of my past titles each one is modeled on. NEWSLETTER: [paste]
