Break down a landing page you admire, then rebuild its structure for your offer

Who it's for

Founders who know a competitor's or a hot startup's page works and want to learn why

What they report

No metric reported. Dan Koe says he pasted the launch landing page of Cluely, asked the model to break down every part of the copy, and it named the approach 'Paradigm Shift Marketing' and taught him how to replicate it. He then turned that into a prompt to rewrite the same style with his own product, features, problem and mechanism.

Example

From the episode: 'I copy pasted the landing page... told it to break down every single part of the landing page copy, and it called it Paradigm Shift Marketing, and just taught me exactly how to replicate it.'

How to do it

  1. Copy the full text of a page you think converts well.
  2. Ask for a section-by-section breakdown: job of each section, technique, why it works.
  3. Ask it to name the overall approach and write it as instructions.
  4. Ask what it needs to know about your offer to apply it.
  5. Answer, then have it write your page using the structure, never the original's wording.

The prompt

Copy prompt

Below is the full copy of a landing page I think works well. 1. Break down every section: its job, the technique used, and why it works on the reader. 2. Name the overall approach and write it as a step-by-step guide I could follow. 3. List everything you need to know about my offer to apply this approach. Then wait. When I answer, write my landing page using the same structure and techniques. Do not reuse any phrases from the original page. Use only facts I give you. PAGE: [paste]
