Ask AI for the story that makes your big idea stick

Founders who have the idea but no memorable example to carry it

What they report

No metric reported. Sam Parr says AI 'sucks at writing' but is great at finding a story, fact or anecdote that makes a big idea stick. He says he still gets a lot of junk and needs taste to pick the keeper.

Example

Parr told Claude why Hampton's core groups work. One story it returned: Michelangelo saying the Statue of David was already inside the rock and he only removed what wasn't needed. That led him to the 'Michelangelo Effect,' the idea that close peers shape you into your ideal self, which he now uses to explain the product.

How to do it

  1. Write your big idea in 2 or 3 plain sentences.
  2. Ask for stories, historical anecdotes, studies and named effects that illustrate it.
  3. Throw out the junk. Verify the keeper.
  4. Use the story as the hook or the middle of your post, email or page.

The prompt

Here's the big idea I'm trying to get across: [2-3 sentences] Give me 12 stories, historical anecdotes, studies, or named psychological effects that illustrate this idea. Mix well-known and obscure. For each: - The story in 2-3 sentences - Why it fits my idea - How confident you are it's accurate (high / medium / low) and what I should check Don't write my post. Just give me the raw material.
